2016-02-16
[DAWN] Armed forces from around 20 countries including Pakistain and Malaysia are gathering in northern Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
Sunday for "the largest, most important military manoeuvres" ever staged in the region, the official news agency SPA reported.

The "Thunder of the North" exercise involving ground, air, and naval forces sends a "clear message" that Riyadh and its allies "stand united in confronting all challenges and preserving peace and stability in the region", SPA said.

Saudi Arabia is currently leading a military campaign against Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...

#5  I've been thinking of the possibility of the Saudis moving into Anbar on the pretext of attacking ISIS, but their real agenda is to confront Iran. Better in Iraq where there are no Russians to worry about, and Iran's options are limited without a modern airforce.

#2  PAKISTAN is envious of US = POTUS Obama's new BFF Iran and is a OWG Co-Superpower wannabe.

As per FREEREPUBLIC, ISRAEL is warning that ME Sunni States are desiring to acquire or dev their own Nuke Arsenals in response to Rising Nuclear Iran, of which already Nuke-armed Pakistan is suspected of being a likely supplier of NucWeaps/Bombs to its Anti-Iran/Shia Sunni brethren, or in alternate the techs required to dev one.

#1  Might be a cover for an invasion. Although I doubt the mighty Pak army will be too keen.
