| DG Rangers suspends five officers in Aftab Ahmed case |

| [DAWN] KARACHI: Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar announced the suspension and arrest of at least five Rangers officers for their alleged involvement in the death of MQM worker Aftab Ahmed. According to Geo News anchor Shahzeb Khanzada, Major General Bilal Akbar said five Rangers personnel have been suspended and tossed in the clink Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! following the probe launched to resolve the matter of Aftab Ahmed's death in Rangers' custody. Vowing to take the investigation to its logical conclusion, DG Rangers reportedly told the television channel that the five suspended officers include two in-charges and three subordinates. All five are being investigated. |
