Senior policeman shot dead in Egypt’s Fayoum |

[Al Ahram] Armed men rubbed out a senior policeman and injured two others in Egypt’s Fayoum governorate on Saturday, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported. The police officer, aged 35, was head of the investigations unit in the Tamya district of the governorate. He was getting into his vehicle along with two lower-ranking coppers when they were shot at. It was not immediately clear if the attack had criminal or political motivations, and the assailants have yet to be identified. |
