| Iraqis foil bridge sabotage try in Ninevah |

| (IraqiNews.com) NINEVEH – Official journalists with the Ministry of Defense announced foiling an attempt of targeting the floating bridge over Tigris River south of Mosul. The journalists in a statement issued to the media, said, “The international coalition aircraft carried out an air strike that targeted a large boat carrying more than two tons of explosives near Haj Ali village,” adding, “The boat was en-route to attack the floating bridge that was established by the Iraqi troops connecting Makhmur with Qayyarah south of Mosul. The boat was destroyed completely.” It may be mentioned here that yesterday, official journalists with the Ministry of defense announced that the Iraqi army had established a floating bridge linking Qayyarah with Makhmur south of Mosul. |
