| Hezbollah drone carries out airstrike over southern Aleppo |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah carried out their first drone bombing over the southern Aleppo countryside on Tuesday, targeting Jaish Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) positions at the village of Khalsah. This drone bombing in southern Aleppo gives a glimpse into Hezbollah’s military capabilities and technological developments. While not much damage was done to their intended target; these drone bombings will likely be used to harass enemy combatants. |

Israel denied that it had sold UAVs to the Assad government and it was soon revealed that these Israeli Searcher 2 UAVs were indeed operating from Syrian military bases but the UAVs were Russian made, under license. "In March 2014 Russia began licensed production of the Israeli Searcher 2 UAV. ... " Many of the components were imported from Israel for assembly in Russia. That was revealed in 2015 when Ukrainian forces shot down some Searchers and got to examine the wreckage. There they found Israeli and Russian components. Recently Israel admitted that two PAC-2 anti-aircraft missiles missed when fired at a UAV coming out of Syria. An F-16 firing an air-to-air missile missed as well. The Israelis are still trying to figure that out...." |
