[ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels launched a major offensive in the northern countryside of Latakia on Monday night, targeting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) held villages at the northern slopes of Jabal al-Akrad (Kurdish Mountains). Led by Jabhat Fateh al-Sham ...formerly al-Nusra, the current false nose and mustache of al-Qaeda in the Levant... Front), the jihadist rebels stormed the Syrian Arab Army's defenses at Tal al-Malk, Tal Rasha, and Nahshaba; this would result in a fierce battle that would last for several hours tonight. According to a military source in northern Latakia, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and their allies managed to capture al-Malk Hill, Nahshaba, and Rasha Hill early on; however, the Syrian Armed Forces have since reclaimed Rasha Hill. The military source in northern Latakia added that the Syrian Armed Forces are currently counter-attacking the jihadist rebels at Nahshaba after forestalling their advance. |
