Daughter Ivanka, sons Eric and Donald Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner were close advisers to Trump's campaign and are part of his transition team announced on Friday. The CBS report did not specify for which Trump children top-secret clearance was being sought. |

#10 Kellyanne Conway has called shenanigans, saying "someone" merely made a general inquiry. The only issue that I see with granting said clearances is the Trump campaign promise that he would remove himself from the day-to-day involvement in his businesses, instead giving his kids management responsibilities without his involvement. If his kids get security clearances, the only solution, as I see it, would be a blind trust for his businesses. Doubt this would fly. |

#6 Mrs. Conspiracy went a little nutz upon hearing this. I explained to her that The President is allowed to run his/her show as they see fit, including management structure and whom they select as advisers. A JFK/RFK analogy seemed to get the point across. |

#5 No, no! It's because he wants them to be part of the government! But that's unconstitutional! He wants to be king, and his family princes/potentates! /moonbattery |
