An Al shabaab commander is reportedly killed in Somalia following clashes between armed residents and militants near Jowhar town, 90Km north of Mogadishu. The Al shabaab commander who was identified as Abdirahman Rahole has been shot dead by two armed men at Barsane area, about 50Km away from Jowhar.Ibrahim Aden Moalim, one of the killers, told media that they killed the Al shabaab commander after he took forcefully money and livestock from local residents.
The local police officers in Jowhar said they welcome the murder of the alleged Al shabaab leader, and called on residents to take army against Al shabaab militants.
