[DAWN] GUJRAT: The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench on Thursday accepted the bail plea of Chaudhry Shahid, the father of Samia Shahid, a Brit of Pak origin who had been killed for honour allegedly by her former husband and other family members at her native village near Dina back in July last.The court ordered the applicant to submit the surety bond of Rs200,000 for his release as bail was granted for insufficient evidence by the prosecution.
Samia’ father and Chaudhry Shakil, ex-husband, were in the Jhelum jail for the last few months.
