| Iraqi forces destroy ISIS hideout in Diyala |

| Google Map at the link Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Tigris Operations Command announced on Tuesday destroying a hideout belonging to the Islamic State group, in addition to dismantling an improvised explosive device in al-Zor basin area, northeast of Baqubah, the center of Diyala Province. Commander of Tigris Operations, Major General Mazhar al-Azzawi, said in a press statement, “Joint security forces, backed by al-Hashd al-Shaabi militia, destroyed a hideout of the Islamic State in al-Zor basin area.” The security forces also discovered an improvised explosive device near the hideout, and dismantles it without causing any casualties. Azzawi also added that Tigris Operations managed, in the few last months, to destroy several hideouts belonging to the Islamic State, especially in the area of al-Zor basin. |
