'Disgusting' and 'extraordinary' scenes as Chinese delegation shouts down Auzzie welcome Cememony
2017-05-03
[Sydney Herald] Participants at an intergovernmental meeting hosted by Australian foreign minister Julie Bishop in Perth have described "disgusting" and "extraordinary" scenes as the Chinese government delegation shouted over the welcome to country ceremony and forced the suspension of proceedings.

A Taiwanese delegation was later ejected from the Kimberley Process meeting at the behest of the Chinese delegates who objected to their attendance.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed it had raised concerns over the incident with the Chinese ambassador.

Participants at the Kimberley Process intersessional meeting have described extraordinary scenes as the Chinese delegation noisily disrupted the official Indigenous welcome ceremony and forced the suspension of at least one other session on Monday.

#6  A few years ago, I had occasion to brief a delegation of approximately 45 Chinese mid-level emergency management and law enforcement officials at a state homeland security/emergency management agency. The presentation was on structure and information analysis systems, and about 15 minutes into it I had to stop because of the loud cross-talk, chatting and obviously sarcastic comments they made as I was speaking. When their senior leader noted my pause, after a few minutes he stood up and said something, after which there was utter silence and rapt attention. They were arrogant, dismissive and haughty, but repeatedly wanted to use our computer systems to "check email" yet it seemed a thumbdrive was always planned. We refused every attempt, which cause them to comment on our lack of "courtesy". Their arrogance and contempt was palpable. SO this doesn't surprise me, the mask is less and less worn.....

Treacherous, worthless foreign minister humiliated- check.
Chinese commie thug diplomats shown up as low lifes- check.

Win, win and win.

#3  I'd show them out and tell their ambassador that they aren't welcome back until they can act with some decorum and decency worthy of a so called great power.

#2  Another example of the ChiComs getting their way.
What if you told them they had to leave?
