| [Right Scoop] Bolton weighs in on Chancellor Merkel’s comments over the weekend, saying he doesn’t believe this is the end of the alliance at all. In fact he points out that her ire isn’t simply directed at Trump over the Paris Climate Accords, but also at Prime Minister Theresa May who agreed with Trump on many issues involving refugees and immigrants. Bolton argues that more than Trump, Merkel is really upset with the UK for their Brexit vote because one thing she’s trying to do is get rid of national governments. She believes the only way to stop conflict is by getting rid of national governments and obviously Brexit stands in the way of that. Bolton also pointed out that she had upset and alienated many EU governments herself with her unilateral policies on accepting refugees. Of course Bolton reminds us that there is a German election coming up soon, and he believes much of what Merkel said has to do with those elections. | #8 It is hard to underestimate the national guilt felt by the Germans. A German I knew felt guilt even though her Grandmother was a child during WW2. Perhaps if they give up their country to the refugees they'll all feel better. I'll miss the beer but there are alternatives these days, many quite excellant. |

| #6 one thing she’s trying to do is get rid of national governments. As have many "pols" wanted to do. Then they will be the leader of the whole governmentless entity that is left. Whether you call it the EU, the Reich, the Caliphate or something else the dream of the ruler is always the same at its core. |

| #2 Germans want national suicide and think other peoples should to. Their disaster will be a shining light for other nationalist movements which even the MSM will fail at suppressing. Germany's "new idea" may kill more germans than hitler managed. |
