| Turkey parliament approves troop deployment to Qatar | |

's parliament approves a measure to deploy troops to a Turkish military base in Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... amid a widening rift between the Arab country and neighbors in the Persian Gulf region. Brother Moslem Brotherhood states... The parliament approved the deployment on Wednesday with 240 politicians in favor, most of them from the ruling party of President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him... The deployment had been drafted before a spat surfaced between Qatar and three main allies in the Persian Gulf, namely Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... , the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The three countries, plus Egypt and the Maldives, have cut ties with Doha over what they call Qatar’s support for terrorism. Qatar has denied the allegation. However, a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... the debate on the legislation was moved up the agenda of the Turkish parliament while a separate bill was introduced to the chamber on increased military cooperation between Turkey and Qatar. Turkey, which initially moved to mediate between the Arab countries, has declared its support for Qatar, rejecting claims that the country is financing terrorism. Erdogan said on Tuesday that Qatar was a leading force in the regional fight against terror and criticized others for pursuing the policy of isolating the oil-rich country. He even hailed Qatar for a "cool-headed and constructive" stance in dealing with regional issues. The vote in the Turkish parliament on Wednesday would be a fresh sign that Turkey is supporting Qatar in the dispute with the Saudis and allies. Erdogan and other Turkish officials have said that they will continue efforts to resolve the dispute.
Turkish ambassador to Qatar Ahmet Demirok told AFP last year the base would eventually be home to up to 3,000 troops or possibly more "depending on the needs." | |

| #1 Turkey has had troops in Qatar since 2014 but only a hundred or so. The US has several thousand troops at an air base in Qatar. |
