| Deaths as suicide bombers hit Shia mosque in Kabul |

| [Al Jazeera] An attack at a Shia mosque in the Afghan capital of Kabul killed at least four people and maimed eight more on Thursday, security officials said. Two suspected attackers tried to enter the city's Al Zahra mosque but were blocked by police, setting off a shootout, Interior Ministry front man Najib Danish said. The attackers then took refuge in the mosque's kitchen before detonating a bomb. The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Among the dead were at least three civilians and one police officer, while four civilians and four coppers were maimed. The attack happened as mosques around the city were crowded for a night of religious observances as part of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. |

| #4 I get my numbers from other sites, e.g. thereligionofpeace.com The 'count' is somewhat subjective. A killing may be for jihad or because of blood feud or just because the killer feels like killing that day |
