Zimbabwe: 'Go and Herd Cattle,' Mugabe, 93, Tells Unemployed Zim Youth |
2017-07-02 |
![]() MuggsyMugabe Octogenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case... , 93, on Friday told unemployed youths to "go and herd cattle" in the rural areas amid a critical shortage of jobs in the southern African country. During his election campaign of the 2013 polls, Mugabe promised Zim-bob-weans that his government would create more than 2.2 million jobs. However, ars longa, vita brevis... latest statistics indicated that Zim-bob-we had a formal unemployment rate of around 80%. Addressing his supporters at a rally at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo, Mugabe said Zim-bob-wean youths who had no jobs should look for ideas so that they became entrepreneurs. "We always hear youths from the (opposition Movement for Democratic Change) MDC saying that they do not have jobs. I say to them come to me and I will laugh at them first before telling them to go and herd cattle," said Mugabe speaking in the vernacular Shona language. |

#11 "Cattle?" "What cattle?" I didn't know they had any cattle, I was under the impression they ate them all since their farming was less than successful! |

#4 Furst Step. Catch a goodly number of cows. Ironically, how it was often done. Read Lonesome Dove for a realistic example of how it usually went down. Wild Bill Hickok also did some of that. No, it's not rustling if the cows are not branded. |
