[DAWN] A cache of arms and ammunition was recovered by the security forces in Kohat on Tuesday, the military's media wing claimed.According to an Inter-Services Public Relations' press release, armed forces conducted an intelligence-based operation and recovered the weapons while they were being transported from Darra Adam Khel to Wana.
"Weapons were discretely hidden inside the truck's lower body," the press release read.
ISPR said that two men were also apprehended in the operation. The recovered cache of weapons includes 614 pistols, 115 automatic weapons, 7,000 rounds of various calibre and 579 pistol magazines.
The details of the weapons recovered, according to the ISPR press release, are as following:
More than 300 30 bore pistols, six 30 bore Mousers, 197 black Zigana pistols, 16 Zigana camouflage pistols, 30 black Beretta pistols, four golden Pietro Beretta pistols, 20 Smith & Wesson pistols, 10 Walther pistols, 26 Mikarov pistols, one A5.56mm rifle, 106 SMGs, two kalakov shotguns, and six light machine guns.
