#14  Who needs flamethrowers for tunnels. Flood them with H2S or CO2. Any HTA gas will work

A fuel/air mix will work just nicely, fire a tracer round afterward and boom, problem resolved!

#11  Way back in the day, flamethrowers did rather well against tunnels on certain Pacific islands. Nowadays, you could even make a flamethrower robot so you could stand back and watch.

#10  Best of all would have been to spend the money rebuilding destroyed housing stock, a proper sewage treatment plant, and jump starting the local economy, but that is the behavior of a good government rather than a jihadi organization bent on conquest.

Infidel! Where's the fun Islam in that?

#9  Good. Given this, it's a good thing Hamas wasted their funds on useless tunnnels rather than something that could have harmed Israel when next they attempt to break out. Best of all would have been to spend the money rebuilding destroyed housing stock, a proper sewage treatment plant, and jump starting the local economy, but that is the behavior of a good government rather than a jihadi organization bent on conquest.
