#4  Good news on the New England front - the Boston Globe continues to shrink as it abandons its headquarters on 135 Morrissey Boulevard last month.

These will make fine dormitories for UMass-Boston, right across the street.

#3  Seriously, you can all go fuck yourselves and cost your billionaire investors a shit ton of money as you fail.
Die, you rags. Die.

Sometimes DV says it with such eloquence that your really can't improve on it. But I will take the liberty of providing additional information.

From Wikipedia, because tronc won't show it on their own website:

Tronc, Inc. (stylized as tronc; formerly Tribune Publishing) is an American newspaper print and online media publishing company based in Chicago, Illinois. Among other publications, the company's portfolio includes the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel, Sun-Sentinel, The Baltimore Sun, (Allentown, Pennsylvania) The Morning Call, Hartford Courant, and the San Diego Union-Tribune. It also publishes several local newspapers in these metropolitan regions, which are organized in subsidiary groups. It is the nation's third-largest newspaper publisher (behind Gannett and The McClatchy Company), with ten daily newspapers and commuter tabloids located throughout the United States.

Ain't that enough?

And then there's Carlos Slim of whom we must ask: Do we really want a Mexican billionaire, whose government murders journalists, to own multiple major newspapers in this country?

#2  No....

#1  Considering the hostility they have showed, I doubt Congress would be willing.

Also, these newspapers have been pushing hard for tougher anti-trust laws and enforcement (for big business they don't like, obviously) and now they have the gall to ask for exemptions...

Seriously, you can all go fuck yourselves and cost your billionaire investors a shit ton of money as you fail.
