4 ISIS suicide bombers now pining for the fjords Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Security forces have killed four suicide bombers during their attempt to enter al-Dolab area in the city of Hit, Anbar Governorate, Altaghier TV reported on Tuesday. Mohammed al-Mohammadi, the chairman of Hit District Council, said that security forces managed to kill four suicide bombers affiliated to the Islamic State (IS) terror group before entering al-Dolab area. The bombers were wearing explosive belts. Al-Mohammadi stressed that security forces and tribes have complete control over the area. IS still holds three towns in western Anbar close to the borders with Syria, in addition to a few areas in Salahuddin, Diyala and Kirkuk. On Sunday, dozens of IS militants were reported killed and injured in an airstrikes launched by the Iraqi army and U.S.-led coalition in western Anbar. Most of the members killed were from al-Tash and Ankour, west of Ramadi. |
