| FBI Seized Smashed Hard Drives From Wasserman Schultz IT Aide's Home |

| [Daily Caller] FBI agents seized smashed computer hard drives from the home of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s information technology (IT) administrator, according to an individual who was interviewed by Bureau investigators in the case and a high level congressional source. Pakistani-born Imran Awan, long-time right-hand IT aide to the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, has since desperately tried to get the hard drives back, the individual told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group. The congressional source, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the probe, confirmed that the FBI has joined what Politico previously described as a Capitol Police criminal probe into "serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network" by Imran and three of his relatives, who had access to the emails and files of the more than two dozen House Democrats who employed them on a part-time basis. Capitol Police have also seized computer equipment tied to the Florida lawmaker. Awan’s younger brothers, Abid and Jamal, his wife, Hina Alvi, and Rao Abbas, Imran’s best friend, are also under investigation. There have been no arrests in the case. |

| #14 Apparently it's quite difficult to smash a drive such that the real experts can't read at least some of it. Some companies use a service which shreds hard drives to something like grains of rice or sand. They will even make you a video. I wonder if the FBI might have a few of these machines.... oopsie! Didn't the military use to use C4? |

| #9 Habeas Corpus We can't stop border crossers or get comprehensive medical care so I really doubt suspension of constitutional guarantees will be possible. But there are some parties, foreign and domestic, that should be interviewed real hard. |

| #7 Wife Hina Alvi was reported to have gone to Pakistan, to the bosom of her loving, powerful family. A quick google reveals nothing more. It has not been reported, so far as I am aware, that the Awan brothers' passports were taken from them to prevent such travel. |

| #3 Ima thinkern the Awans cop a plea bargain, then proceed to obfuscate and stall. At least until they can flee (or be helped out of) the country. The bigger question is what the Congress critters involved do. I'll bet there'll be lots of lawyers involved. |
