Soetoro shares convicted terrorist Mandela quote after deadly white supremacist rally |
2017-08-13 |
"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion..." Obama tweeted, featuring a photo of him talking to small children of different ethnicities through a window. The quote comes from Mandela's 1994 inaugural address, when he became the first black president of South Africa. Obama’s message was in response to a violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. A car plowed into a crowd of anti-fascism protestors, killing one person and leaving more than a dozen others injured. Two Virginia State police officers were also killed when their helicopter crashed, which authorities linked to the rally. |

#8 Well Mandela was a socialist so he didn't understand economics and he was free about the time the Soviet money taps stopped flowing plus he had a wife who was a brutal murderer so how much progress could seriously be expected. |

#3 "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion..." In accordance with research of evolutionary survival traits across species, that is exactly incorrect. Only after 'the different thing' is proven to be nonthreatening does curiosity kick in, for some. |

#1 Obama channeled Mandela rather than MLK? He must be ignoring such practices prevalent during that time such as "Mandela Necklacing." Perhaps, that is a practice that Obama embraces. An article which was published at the time of Mandela's death talks about the atrocities of South Africa during Mandela's reign. Don't mourn for Mandela. He was not Martin Luther King Jr. He was not Mahatma Gandhi. And he was certainly not George Washington, as Barack Obama claimed. The practice of "Necklacing". Mandela must have evoked that warm feeling in Obama that Chris Matthews spoke about when he heard Obama speak: "I Felt This Thrill Going Up My Leg.” |
