| 15 Taliban die in airstrikes in Laghman |

| At least 15 Taliban insurgents were killed in ongoing operations in eastern Laghman province, local officials confirmed on Tuesday. In addition, seven others were wounded and another was arrested. The operation was launched in Alishing district of the province on Monday to clear the area of insurgents, a spokesman for 201 Selab Military Corps, Sherin Aqa Faqiri said. “The troops are receiving air support during the operation and it will continue until the area is cleared of all insurgents,” Faqiri said. However, he did not provide more details about the operation. The Taliban has not yet commented about the operation. |
