| [Rudaw] Syria's Kurds fear the steadfast ally they found in the US to successfully take on Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group jihadists may now leave them to face threats from ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... and Damascus alone. |

| #5 Give them credit - the Kurds are not stupid when they assume we will sell them out. Ideally, move ops to the Greek part of Crete, Hungary and Bulgaria and Romania where we already have basing rights, forward base in Kurdistan, and tear down all our buildings in Turkey on the way out, including the runways at the big airbases. |
