| Israel: Number of countries that opposed or abstained from UN vote ‘hugely significant’ | |

| [IsraelTimes] Israel’s Foreign Ministry says the number of countries that either opposed, abstained or were absent from the vote on the UN resolution rejecting US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital is "hugely significant." One hundred and twenty eight countries voted in favor of the motion and nine voted against. Thirty-five countries abstained. A further 21 countries didn’t show up for the vote. The vote shows that "not the whole world is part of this show," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Nachshon says, immediately after the vote.
