Trump blasts Pakistan for ‘lies' and ‘deceit' in first 2018 tweet
2018-01-01

President Trump ushered in the new year by blasting Pakistan for giving the US "nothing but lies & deceit" while harboring terrorists ‐ and calling for change in Iran, where 10 people were killed in protests.

"The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools," Trump said in his inaugural tweet of 2018.

"They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!"

Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif tweeted that his government was preparing a response that "will let the world know the truth."

#8  Colombo seems the most accurate as his bumbling seemed very much an act to get everyone to under-estimate him. The others were actually fools

#7  The Olde Worlde does like to think of Americans as ignorant, uncultured cowboys, so unlike their wise and erudite selves, who posss an ancient culture that gives its inheritors grace that parvenu Ami money simply cannot buy. It’s been a while since I mentioned the French philosopher-journalist Jean-Francois Revel’s Anti-Americanism, which sadly is not available in a Kindle version.

#6  Yep, in a Donk city in a Donk state, you do things to do business. Then one day....Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: Cause I'm now the biggest SOB in the valley.

It's great to be king prez

#4  LOL, this is the first time I've heard a born and breed New Yorker (Queens) referred to as a "country bumkin".

It's somehow fitting though. :)

#2  For all his clumsiness and lack of diplomacy

Just a country bumpkin who, somehow, keeps getting the better of city slickers.

#1  For all his clumsiness and lack of diplomacy Trump may be the most honest President since Washington.
