[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish border guard and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) clashed at the Tal Abyad Crossing in northern al-Raqqa tonight, pro-YPG activists reported.
According to the reports from this front, the Ottoman Turkish border guard fired several artillery shells towards the SDF’s positions in Tal Abyad.
This attack by the Ottoman Turkish border guard prompted the SDF to fire their own barrage of artillery shells and rockets towards the the former’s positions.
Tonight’s exchange of hostilities in northern Raqqa marks the first time this year that the Ottoman Turkish military and Kurdish forces have clashed inside this province. |
