Sharing details of the security cover being provided to the 9,000 polio teams engaged in the exercise, he said no compromise will be made with regard to their security.
"In fact police department as a stakeholder will do its optimum to facilitate the workers," said the IGP - Sindh.
In reply to a query, he said plain clothed cops have also been deputed at each of the sensitive UC along with commandos and area coppers.
"Security on basis of inner and outer cordon has been further ensured at more than 30 UCs identified as sensitive in the quiet provincial capital," said the police chief in response to another query. "There are standing orders that cover being provided to the polio workers must be strengthened and streamlined with adequate provision for intelligence sharing and sharp vigilance," he added.
