France to ‘intervene’ if Jihadist nationals sentenced to death in Mideast

[IsraelTimes] La Belle France says it "will intervene" in cases of its nationals sentenced to death in Iraq and Syria for belonging to jihadist organizations.

"Of course, if there was a question of the death penalty
, the French state will intervene," Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet tells a host of French media outlets.

Pressed on what this meant, Belloubet says La Belle France would "negotiate with the state in question... on a case by case basis."

The feminine/neutral pronoun is pronounced the same in both singular and plural and derives gender from the noun it replaces. A deictic linguistic problem, set by context, found in many anglo languages.

And would lose on every one, either de jure or de facto later, I imagine. But both the Islamists and the idealists back home must be appeased by meaningless statements lest there be more carbeques ahead of events.

#2  Having the wisdom of Solomon, I suggest the solution here is for the Iraqis to hang the perps, then ship the bodies C.O.D to the French who can then imprison them for as long as deemed necessary.
