| Three Islamic State members killed in operation, southwest of Kirkuk Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) Three Islamic State members were killed as the paramilitary troops launched an offensive in villages in southwest of Kirkuk, the media service reported. “Based on intelligence information, the second brigade of al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) and the Federal Police launched an operation against IS locations in villages of Hawija,” the service said in a statement on Wednesday. “The forces managed to kill three militants and seize tunnels and rest houses.” Former Iraqi military general assassinated by Islamic State in Kirkuk Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) Islamic State members have assassinated a former general of the Iraqi military in southwest of Kirkuk, a security source from the province was quoted saying. “IS members killed on Wednesday Maj.
