Syrian Army allows massive YPG convoy to travel to Afrin from their lines
2018-02-06
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) allowed a massive convoy of fighters from the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) to travel through their lines in order to reach the Afrin region.

According to a military source in Aleppo, the YPG convoy went through the town of Menbeij to the government lines, where they were freely allowed to use the roads to the Afrin region.

The Syrian government is opposed to the Ottoman Turkish military’s incursion in Afrin and has agreed to allow the YPG and their allies to send supplies and reinforcements to this front in order to fend off the attackers.

#7  What is the Turkish ratio of reported casualties to real count?

I seem to recall OldSpook reporting they were low by an order of magnitude or more on their own casualties, and high by an order of magnitude or more in their reports of Kurdish casualties, 3dc.

#5  Looks like some doctrinal changes are needed to current armor thinking.

#3  They are the second largest army in NATO behind the US. However, one of their main suppliers, Germany has cut off more sales since the invasion of Rojava.

#2  How much armor does Turkey have to throw at Afrin?

#1  The YPG is using anti-NATO Kornet tank killing ATGMs built by the Russians with devastating effect against Turkeys armor. This is the first conflict where the Russoan weapon is being shown daily in use by the YPG Press as never before seen. The weapon literally turns a NATO tank into crematorium incinerating the occupants of a tank when a tank is hit, causing the tank to cook off instantly. Go to youtube and enter the seatch term "ypg afrin" and you will see this Russian cold war weapon from hell in action against numerous Turkish tanks since the invasion began Jan 20th.
