Cold weather results in postponing Cherry Blossom Bloom in DC -twice |
2018-03-25 |
[DCW50] WASHINGTON, D.C. ‐ The peak bloom for D.C. cherry blossoms have been pushed back once again due to the cold weather, National Park Services says. The new peak bloom is now forecast for April 8-12. NPS says the blossoms lack the heating degrees needed to stay on track and there is no warmup on the horizon. The initial peak bloom was set for March 17-20, then pushed back to March 27-31. The new peak bloom puts the bloom watch over two weeks behind schedule. (mid Feb had two days with max temps near 80F and that got into the initial bloom forecast but March has had freezing minimum temps almost every day) |

#2 Surprised they couldn't time the anti-gun spasm to the blossom time to have a "let the revolution bloom" moment. |

#1 Weird - someone missed a perfectly good chance to blame this on 'climate change'. |
