Trump and Netanyahu talk by phone on Syria and Iran
A conversation took place early Monday between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. They discussed the situation in Syria and the problem of Iran. This conversation was out of the ordinary since it took place hours after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with the prime minister in Tel Aviv.
French president in phone call to Netanyahu on Iran nuclear deal
President Emmanuel Macron talked on the phone to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday. He reported on his conversation with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday, during which the two presidents agreed to work together to salvage the 2015 nuclear accord, as the May 14 deadline approaches for a decision by President Donald Trump on whether to recertify or abandon it. Macron asked Netanyahu to tone down his attacks on Iran, so as to give him a change to carry through his plan to amend the accord. They agreed to talk again.
