[KhaamaPress] At least 17 people were killed and dozens more were maimed after an kaboom destroyed a mosque in Khost city in Southeast of Afghanistan this afternoon.The incident took place in the vicinity of Yaqoobi area targeting a mosque where dozens of people had gathered to obtain voter cards.
Provincial Public Health Director Habib Shah confirmed that the dead bodies of at least 17 People have been shifted to the hospitals along with at least 34 others who have sustained injuries.
In the meantime, a security source says at least 19 people have been killed and nearly thirty others have sustained injuries in the attack.
No individual or group has so far grabbed credit behind the attack.
This is not the first time the anti-government armed bully boyz attack a voter registration center but similar attacks have been carried out in other parts of the country including Kabul during the recent weeks.
Such attacks have claimed the lives of scores of people while leaving dozens more maimed with the deadliest attack carried out in West of Kabul city last month.
