(NDS), in eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The provincial government media office in a statement said the NDS Special Forces conducted an operation in Zawa area of Khogyani district late on Sunday night. The statement further added at least 34 gunnies including several killed Death Eater figures were killed during the operation. According to the provincial government, the NDS Special Forces also confiscated several weapons, munitions, and explosives during the operation which were later destroyed. The operation was conducted as the gunnies had gathered in one of their hideouts and were planning major attacks, the provincial government added. The statement by the provincial government also added that the local residents and security personnel did not suffer any casualty during the operation. |
