German authorities thwarted an Islamist BIOLOGICAL weapon attack! |
2018-06-15 |
[Right Scoop] A 29-year-old Muslim from Tunisia is being charged with planning to launch a biological weapon attack after being caught with ricin. According to the report, he’d successfully made the toxin after ordering caster beans online:German prosecutors said Thursday they’ve thwarted an Islamic extremist plot to launch an attack with the deadly toxin ricin. Except that it’s also being reported that he used ISIS instructions on how to make the deadly poison. It’s also being reported that it was American intelligence who tipped off the Germans. Bild Magazine says he had stored large quantities of the poison in his apartment. He also had a wife and four children. The wife, who is German, had converted to Islam. The report doesn’t even give his last name, which makes me wonder if the German authorities don’t want the people to know how this Tunisian came into the country. |

#19 Problems like these should be addressed openly and serious cases be handled by the WTO. Why should nations cede even part of their sovereignty to a body run by its competitors and enemies? |

#18 Very common for German media to only publish the first name and initial of last name. So, no, "Sief Allah H." did not get a break...treated like any other crime suspect. |

#17 WTO - I laugh and compare it to the UN. The majority of members are UNdemacratic nations. Does the EU have one member or many? The US only has one vote! |

#16 Problems like these should be addressed openly and serious cases be handled by the WTO. Sorry....very wrong answer. |

#15 The vaunted German exports are protected by the American taxpayers funding the US navy as it keeps the shipping routes open all around the world. FOR FREE. Genuine conservatives would support independence from Washington, out of principle, not beg to be America's favorite poodle in Europe. |

#12 I could tell you similar stories of German companies bidding for contracts in the U.S. Problems like these should be addressed openly and serious cases be handled by the WTO. Subsidies exist on both sides of the pond. Both Airbus and Boeing use them unfairly. It's all a matter of serious negotiations. But currently there's too much disinformation, especially when it comes to cars. |

#11 I participated in a construction bid for a $2 billion project in D.C> and after two weeks, the principals decided not to bid, because the quality standards were excessive. And the schedule was extremely aggressive. The last project, the DOT applied the specs to us much more rigorously than for other projects. So maybe not an act of 'warfare', mein Herr, but costly and restrictive. |

#10 Quality standards are an act of warfare? |

#9 Germany has "subsidies" for domestic goods, and other "hidden tariffs" like impossible to meet quality standards. |

#8 Why should America protect a stable continent of wealthy democracies? Europe is ruthlessly free-riding on American security and laughing all the way to the bank. What on God's green earth does America owe to its allies!? It's done so much for Europe. Paid for protection. Saved from Nazism. Fascism. Paid for NATO. Prevented wars for 80 straight years in the continent (longest European peace time in history). What on earth does USA owe Europe? Europe's taken America for granted so much, it's baffling. Just pay your part of NATO. It's only fair! |

#7 But please tell me how Germany wages economic warfare against the U.S. |

#6 The tipping off goes both ways. Usually in a discreet manner. |

#5 So... US intel tips off the Germans. The same country that doesn't pay its fair share of NATO costs, wages economic warfare against the US then lectures the USA on how to behave? What a bunch of ungrateful SOBs. |

#3 Unless you are known to make caster oil, ordering 1k of the seeds I would think would be an automatic red flag. |

#1 Well, ricin is more chemical attack than biological, but point taken. Castor Bean plants are an invasive non-native plant here in San Diego County |
