Rubber tapper loses leg from suspected insurgent bomb |

[Bangkok Post] A rubber tapper stepped on a landmine and lost her leg at a rubber plantation in Yala province early on Thursday morning. The blast was reported from the plantation in Yaha district. She lost her left leg below her knee and sustained wounds in her eyes and arms. Security officials exam found a small bomb crater close to a rubber tree. There were also scraps of wire and batteries. It was estimated a one-kilogram improvised bomb had been placed there. Officials blamed insurgents. |
