complains from the dominance of leftist ideas on American universities, especially on the faculties of history, political sciences and sociology.

In a recent interview he lamentingly said he was so naïve because he thought talents, perseverance and efficiency are the standards of progress in academic work and in all other fields but he was wrong as he recently figured out that ideology is the most important factor.

Add in the fact that a large number of jobs that previously only required a HS education now require at least a bachelor's. In part this is due to the much larger pool of college educated.


It's primarily because high school degrees are just certificates of attendance.

#3  The way I understand those student loan debts is they started to really pile on at the same time the US Government took the cargo cult mentality that "college degree" = "magic success" and started handing out grants like candy to students no matter what damned fool degree they were working on and the Universities responded by increasing rates to capture as much of that ill gotten booty as possible. Naturally at the same time the worthless degree departments bloated with lefty staff.

Get the government out of the student loan business would be a great start.

#1  IMO, the real (long term) harm of left's takeover of universities is not the Red Guards/Antifa operating outside universities - that problem will be solved once one of their victims pulls a gun and kills a couple, it's the decline in the quality of faculty.
