| #4 Mullah R The 'stoning of the devil' aka, the Jamarat is when stampedes occurred in the past, for example in 2006 over 300 people died during this event. The Saudis have spent a ton of money expanding access to this site via escalators, elevated walkways and the like (a lot of American companies were paid big bucks). The biggest dangers now are 1. if some group were to sneak explosives in and 2. communicable diseases |
