| Battle map update of northeast Latakia as Syrian Army prepares to launch offensive |

| [AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is gearing up for their last offensive in the Latakia Governorate, as they look to seal the Idlib provincial border once and for all. Led by their elite 42nd Brigade of the 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army is preparing to launch a big offensive from two imperative axes in northern Latakia. The two axes that will be targeted by the Syrian Arab Army are located on the Turkmen Mountain (Jabal Turkmen) and Kurdish Mountain (Jabal al-Akrad). The primary objective of this offensive will be to not only seal the Idlib provincial border, but also the Latakia- In addition to sealing these borders, the Syrian Army will also attempt to capture the jihadist stronghold of Kabbani, which is used to launch missiles towards the placid provincial capital. Once these areas are seized, the Syrian Army will move east towards the strategic city of Jisr al-Shughour in the southwestern countryside of the Idlib Governorate. |

| #1 this is a truly slow motion offensive the Syria army has been moving forces to the area for months, the Russians have deployed ships off the coast for months |
