Tribal fighter killed, two others wounded in bomb blast in Salahuddin
Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) – A member of the Tribal Mobilization Forces was killed and two others were wounded in a bomb blast in Salahuddin province, a security source was quoted as saying.
“An explosive charge targeted a vehicle carrying fighters of the Tribal Mobilization Forces in the eastern coast of al-Shirqat district in Salahuddin,” the source told Mawazin News website.
“The explosion left a tribal fighter dead and two others wounded,” the source noted, adding that a security force transferred the dead body to the forensic medicine department while the wounded were moved a nearby hospital for treatment.
Three Islamic State members killed, north of Salahuddin
Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) The pro-government paramilitary troops have killed three Islamic State militants in Salahuddin, a security source from the province was quoted saying on Tuesday.
Speaking to Almaalomah website, the source said “three Islamic State members attempted, today, infiltration into Sedeira village, located near Shirqat town, north of Salahuddin.”
Al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces), according to the source, “managed to kill them before they sneaked into the village.”
The troops “carried out a campaign to inspect the residential houses in search for other militants,” the source added.
