[AlMasdar] The largest rebel group has begun withdrawing their heavy weapons from the Idlib buffer zone, local activists reported this evening.
According to the reports from the area, the the Ottoman Turkish-backed National Liberation Front (NLF) began removing their weapons from the front-lines in Idlib, as they observe the Idlib buffer zone agreement.
With the withdrawal of the National Liberation Front from the Idlib buffer zone, all that remains in the area are the hardline jihadists and some rogue rebel groups.
The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
 and the Hurras al-Deen group have already refused to leave, so there will likely be a Ottoman Turkish military operation to forcibly remove them from the Idlib buffer zone. |
