[Breitbart] Millions of taxpayers dollars trafficked through food stamp fraud went to terrorists who funded their activities at home and abroad, according to an explosive report from the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). The report from GAI, where Breitbart News Senior-Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer serves as president, highlighted several instances where money obtained through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits fraud went to fund acts of terrorism, including the 1993 World Trade Center bombings and the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing. Although this method of using food stamp fraud money for terrorism has been around since the 1980s, it gained notoriety when New York City detectives testified before a Senate subcommittee about the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. More at the link, but it will only make you angrier. |

#3 Lots of bad guy organizations use SNAP benefits, cigarette sales, credit card fraud, and so forth to finance their nefarious schemes. This is why the Democrats do not chase down the fraud in most cases, and why President Trump needs to. |

#2 it will only make you angrier Nope. Asymptotically closer to overt rage, maybe. An angry old man of Antares, Alone on his lawn with his queries, Is a long way from home In a leaky old dome And his love for Antareans... varies. |

#1 For those readers unfamiliar with the scheme... SNAP (and other programs) recipients use their benefit coupons in exchange or as payment for groceries. The groceries are then brokered for cash to local (mini-mart or bodega) merchants at discounted prices. The items are then sold at high market value*. SNAP associated families may also own and operate said markets. So employees are paid very little. *Milk, eggs and bread are always high priced at a gas station. |
