As predicted at the Burg: SECOND migrant mob headed for the US from Honduras!
2018-10-24
Goody. Here’s hoping President Trump is as firm as he has threatened to be.
[Reuters] TAPACHULA, Mexico/GUATEMALA CITY - A group of over a thousand Central Americans in Guatemala headed toward the Mexican border on Tuesday, as a larger caravan of migrants that has angered U.S. President Donald Trump paused in southern Mexico on its planned journey toward the U.S. border.

Trump has vowed to begin cutting millions of dollars in aid to Central America and called the caravan in Mexico a national emergency as he seeks to boost his Republican Party’s chances in the Nov. 6 congressional elections.

The caravan, mostly Honduran migrants fleeing violence and poverty at home, is currently in the town of Huixtla in Chiapas state, around 31 miles (50 km) north of the Guatemalan border and a distant 1,100 miles (1,800 km) from the United States.

Mexico’s government said in a statement on Tuesday that it had received 1,699 requests for refugee status, including children. The government estimates there are around 4,500 people in the group.

#22  Honduras, a hungry mosquito.
At first just a buzz, then a grito,
And straight through Big Mex
Passed the migrants, and checks,
Like a bad California burrito.

#21  Charity begins at home. Yellow USAID bags were photographed by journalists who dare to go on location. Which Soros NGO is distributing it???

#20  OPTION 1 - Honduras is so violent, arm the refugees and send them back to retake their country.
OPTION 2 - Fly them south to Tierra Del Feugo and tell them next time they'll be dropped off in Antarctica if they pull this same crap.

#19  "Enlisted." Juan texts his familia
In the grip of a grim gringofilia.
Y porque? MREs,
And to learn ABCs
In his God Emperor Trump's new auxilia.

#18  At the end of the Mexican-American war in 1848, we could have conquered all of Mexico. We didn't because a)the US at the time didn't want to gain territory by conquest, and b) Mexico was filled with brown Catholics.

Looking back, maybe we should have.

#17  Back in 1978 our mayor imposed martial law during a major blizzard. There was some looting - until one looter was shot and killed by authorities. The people cried at the wrongness of killing a boy just taking food from a store, and demanded the mayor rescind the anti-looting orders. He categorically refused, and in fact repeated them with emphasis - something to the effect of 'I'm sorry the boy got killed, but if anyone else is found looting they are liable to be killed too.' There was no more looting.

#13  Lease a couple of thousand acres from Mexico, build a very nice camp. Have the army construct an emergency airstrip. Put the invaders there, feed them three squares and all the tv and films they can handle. Provide excellent medical care. Set up a military tribunal and process them right onto flights back to their native countries.

#12  Current illegal immigrant rate is estimated at about 2000 per day so if these convoys contained all the immigrants and ran once a week we'd be ahead.

#11  I've never walked any thousand miles at a time, but I have done my share 25's and 30's and even delightful outing for all that totaled 65. I seem to remember a lot of sweating, like right through the web gear. But all these jokers seem to be wearing clean clothes in every picture. Then of course there is the need for something along the line of 2 gallons of water per day for an active individual in a hot climate. Then what, how, and where do they eat, much less deposit the after affects? Some kind of deep, deep pockets are behind this 'spontaneous movement'.

#10  This is an act of war. There is simply no other way to put it. Declare war on Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico. Drop leaflets all along the column to advise these people that US Army soldiers will shoot them if the cross the border. Then if they cross the border, shoot them.

#9  If Trump had been given funding for the wall he wanted by the Republican house and senate we wouldn't be discussing thousands of Hondurans and Guatemalans advancing towards us through Mexico now.

Chew on that for a while.

#5  Why Mexico isn’t stopping the migrant caravan

#4  Or we take 20 miles of Mexico as a buffer, dump all our radioactive waste and any other hazardous waste we don't want and put fences on both sides with signs reading "If you cross this fence, you will die." If people cross, they don't make it to the other fence. Problem solved. Think of it as evolution in action.

#3  Here's something tough but effective. Say, hypothetically, you charge a $100K cost to Mexico for each of these 7,000 who enter the US, or $0.7B. Draw the penalty from a tax on the repatriation of income from Western Union-type payments of any cash sent south, and include profits from US and other companies doing business in Mexico.

Use half, $350M, for the wall, and the other half for the items mentioned by Besoeker and other social problems, including crime and terrorism.

#2  And if you do not turn every one of them back or give them a lift back home, they will continue.

They endanger everybody and none of this is acceptable.

Apply for sanctuary in a safe place but this is not that. This is all political. Go back right now with your commie asses and fix your own commie governments. I have enough here to contend with..
