2018-11-09
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) carried out a powerful attack against a group of Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo this week.

Led by members of their sleeper cell, the YPG attacked the headquarters of the Ottoman Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army

(FSA) fighters using a vehicle borne improvised bomb (VBIED) in the Jandaris District of Afrin.

The VBIED attack would prove successful, as the YPG managed to kill at least two members of the Free Syrian Army, while wounding couple others that were inside the HQ.
The Times of Israel adds:
Opposition activists and paramedics reported that two blasts in rebel-held parts of northern Syria have inflicted casualties.

The Observatory said the first kaboom occurred in the northern town of Azaz wounding six children while the opposition’s Syrian Civil Defense said four were maimed including three children.

The observatory and other opposition activists reported another blast in the town of Jinderis saying a bomb went off outside an office of the The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

Azaz and Jeideris are controlled by Turkey-backed opposition fighters. The two towns were once controlled by Kurdish fighters opposed to Turkey.

Explosions in rebel-held parts of northern Syria are not uncommon and have killed and maimed dozens in recent months.
