#17 They do a cursory check - asking for address, especially if multiple family members (by last name) are registered to vote at different addresses, but Voter ID is raaaaycissss per the Democrats |

#16 We have 1 year + 11-1/2 months to get this straightened out. If we,can't, there may be blood in the streets. |

#15 @rjschwarz How does that work? I suppose you are registered to vote at a certain place which has you on their list. So if another person votes "for you", he/she must know that your name is on the list, claim he/she's you. What if you turned up 10 minutes later? Sound like an enormous risk or am I missing something? |

#14 In California in 2016 nobody checked my ID when I voted. Anyone could have said they were me and voted for me. With only 50% of people bothering to vote the odds are good nobody would find out. If anyone found a double-ballot they'd have to determine which was real and which wasn't, a process I've never heard happening in California. They've made it very easy to steal elections if they wanted to. |

#13 The trains, they also run on time. I think you haven't been in Germany for a while :-) |

#12 Something to be said for "Ihre Papiere bitte, Ihre Papiere." The trains, they also run on time. |

#11 I must say the U.S. system puzzles me, because in Germany voting is really a straightforward thing. Of course every German has a registered main domicile. One month before the election, I get a letter from the city telling me where I'm registered to vote. It's a nearby place, I bring the notification, my ID, get handed the ballot, go to a cabin, vote, go back, put my vote in the box under supervision. That's that. Has never taken me more than 10 minutes. I cannot understand why Democrats are against a state issued photo ID which includes your citizenship. I mean, you can't go to a post office to retrieve a package without showing proper ID. I understand that Americans do not want a national ID, but it would solve many problems. Start with putting citizenship (or lawful residence status) on every driving license. |

#10 I believe rampant voter fraud has made it a far bluer state than the voters would have. Might also explain Bath House Barry's surprise win back in 2008. |

#9 European Conservative, you might be surprised about California. If you look at voting on a county-by-county level you'll see it is a very red state with a blue coast. I believe rampant voter fraud has made it a far bluer state than the voters would have. |

#8 Yes but every single person takes that risk. I wouldn't risk 5 years in jail if I could single-handed swing an election. And voter fraud in California? What's the point? |

#7 A single instance of vote fraud might count as little gain. Enough vote fraud to throw an election is quite another story. |

#6 Would you steal a penny if the chances you get caught were slim but if you're caught you get 5 years? |

#5 because it's infrequently punished |

#4 The thing I don't understand about voter fraud. I read that you can get 5 years for it. Why would you risk so much for so little gain? |
