| Houthis overwhelms Al-Qaeda forces in southern Yemen, military base seized |

| [AlMasdar] The Houthis Movement launched a big assault, today, against the al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) forces in the al-Bayda Governorate of southern Yemen. The Houthis began their assault on Tuesday by storming the AQAP military base in the Dahaki area of al-Bayda. According to the official media wing of the Houthis, their troops managed to capture the AQAP military base after overrunning the terrorist group’s front-lines in the Dahaki area. In addition to capturing the base, the Houthis also seized at least five enemy vehicles, while also killing scores of al-Qaeda gunnies. The Houthis attack in al-Bayda on Tuesday was launched in response to the AQAP assault on their positions inside this province. |
