Ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleads guilty to lying to Congress
2018-11-30
[Al Jazeera] Michael Cohen admits to making false statements in 2017 about plan to build Trump Tower in Moscow.

Among other lies, Cohen said on Thursday he told Congress that all discussions of the Moscow Trump Tower project ended by January 2016, when they had actually continued until June of that year.

Cohen also said that in the statement to Congress, he claimed to have had limited contact with Trump concerning the project, when in fact it had been "more extensive".

Cohen added that he falsely told Congress he never took any steps towards travelling to Russia, when in fact he had discussed travelling there, although he never did.

#9  OK, now let's prosecute that bastard John Brennan who has publicly admitted to lying to Congress.

I want his ass in JAIL. Come on Trump, step up. Sauce for the Goose...

#8  In the future all politicians and lawyers will "take a Mueller" that is plead the fifth to avoid incriminating themselves by accident because special prosecutors are on a hunting expedition.

#6  [They] have long ago ceased to represent the people who elected them.

Moreover, I doubt that we elected many of these arseholes.

#5  I'm not saying it's O.K. but how often has the government lied to the people (especially during the last administration)? Benghazi, F&F, IRS, Obamacare, email scandals, phony foundations, Libya, Syria, election fraud, and on and on. They lie when they don't have to but usually its for self-enrichment and power. The people in Washington have long ago ceased to represent the people who elected them.

#3  Not that I have any doubt he's guilty.
(The man's a handy tool, the kind that somebody [like Trump] keeps around so he doesn't have clean out his own drains.)

#2  That's the problem, though. Cohen's lied to so many people so many times that it's hard to believe him at all, even if he says he's guilty.
(I'd like to see some corroboration here. Anything.)

#1  Well, Jack, about half the American population wants to be lied to. All they want is power and free stuff. They don't care. It's all just a rationale for them to steal.

As to Mr. Cohen, let him be the baseline for all the Deep State government personnel who've lied to Congress. Now there's a endless special prosecutor's job.
