| Mother, daughter shot to death outside court in Khanewal District |

| [DAWN] Three unidentified motorcyclists on Saturday shot a mother and her daughter to death outside a court in Khanewal District's Jahanian tehsil, DawnNewsTV reported citing local police. The women had arrived at the court for the hearing of a murder case, in which they had been released from the jail a few weeks ago. They were scheduled to make their defence in the court today but unidentified button men on bikes opened fire on them outside the court premises. The women went titzup, while the killers expeditiously departed at a goodly pace. Police cordoned off the area and transferred the bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Jahanian for an appointment with Dr. Quincy. According to police, a long-running family feud could be behind the murders, noting that seven other members of the same family have fallen prey to the prolonged conflict. Police have started the paperwork but haven't done much else and launched an investigation into the case. |
