| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) resumed their assault on the town of Baghouz Tahtani, today, targeting the remaining areas controlled by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. According to reports from Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to overpower the remaining Islamic State faceless myrmidons that were left in the town this afternoon. With Baghouz Tahtani under their control, the Syrian Democratic Forces will now push their way to the nearby town of Baghouz Fouqani. If they can capture Baghouz Fouqani, they will be able to secure the Iraqi border near the strategic city of Albukamal. |
