| Greek Coast Guard seizes large cache of drugs from Syrian ship |

| [ALMASDARNEWS] The Greek Coast Guard stopped a Syrian ship last week that was sailing through their territorial waters. The ship was then redirected to the island of Crete, where the Greek Coast Guard questioned the crew. The Greek Coast Guard proceeded to arrest the twelve men on the ship, 11 Syrian nationals and one Indian national, and confiscated all of the contents inside. Initially, the Greek Coast Guard believed this ship could be smuggling arms; however, it was later found out this week that the vessel was carrying a large quantity of drugs. The Greek authorities found a large quantity of captagon pills and hashish that were destined for an undisclosed location. |
